This layer performs the same function as the Placer but applies a transition while switching.
If the source used in this layer is a different aspect ratio than the document and is set to letterbox, the underlying layers will show through where this layer does not cover. To show black instead, open the Debug Inputs of this layer and disable “Use Alpha Path”.

|Show as|| Because the selected source may not fit to the document dimensions you can specify how it should be placed. There are 3 option available:
|Manual Control||Enabling this reveals a slider parameter to manually control the progress of the transition. The In Transition in the section below is used.|
|Timing|| This defines the curve applied to the transition. Selecting an
|In Transition||Type|| You can setup how the layer should appear when switched to Live. There are six possible values:
|Duration||If you choose a transition other than Cut, specify the duration of the transition.|
|Direction||If you choose a transition other than Cut or Dissolve, this sets the direction of the transition.|
|Softness||For a Wipe, you can set the amount of feathering on the edge of the wipe.|
|Out Transition||Same as Incoming||If enabled, the outgoing transition will inherit all the parameters of the incoming transition, but the direction will be the reverse of how it entered. Disable this to reveal separate settings.|
|Fullscreen||The source gets placed so that all of the screen will be covered.|
|Letterbox||This option will place the source so that it is completely visible.|
|1:1||This option will make the source scale to 100% of its original dimensions. It will be a 1:1 pixel ratio regardless of the document size.|
