Sparkling Text Layer

This layer reveals a single line of text with a sparkle transition. You can choose from two types of sparkles and alter the direction. The layer could also be used to simply place a burst of sparkles somewhere by leaving the text field blank.

Group Parameter Function
Content Text This is the text that will appear with the layer.
Animation Incoming Choose how the text will appear when set to Live. The Particles options will use the sparkle type set in the section below.
Outgoing Choose how the text will disappear. When Same as Incoming is selected and a particle animation is set as the incoming transition, the exit direction will be the reverse of how it entered.
Duration Set the time for the animations to complete.
Sparkle Type The style of the particles used in the animation. Either Dots or Stars.
Color Scheme Constant Color tints the particles a uniform color. Gradient applies a color ramp over the length of the animation. Rainbow runs through all the colors as the animation completes. Random chooses colors at random throughout the animation length.
Color If the Color or Gradient options are selected above, you can pick the color here. The first color is the starting color in the gradient.
Size Defines the size of the particles relative to the text size set below.
Gravity Negative values will make particles float up as they generate. Positive values will make them fall down. A value of 0 will remove any influence of gravity.
Attraction Negative values will make the particles burst outward. Positive values will make them implode into where they came. A value of 0 will remove any influence of attraction.
Appearance Text You can use the Mac font chooser to adjust how the text will look.
Drop Shadow Enables options for a drop shadow to be applied on the text. You can set the color, opacity, blur amount and the distance and direction from the text.
Geometry Anchor Set the position of the text relative to the sides or corners of the screen.
X/Y Inset Defines how far from the selected edges or corners the text will be.
