Please note that the action is only performed on the vide output when the layer is live (otherwise it will only affect the preview of the layer above). By selecting Record shortcut on the right you can associate a key combination from your keyboard with this button in order to trigger it anytime.
Color: This input value is representing a color. If you click on the colored box you will get the MacOS-X Color Chooser panel. You can setup any color you want. Usually the transparency (also known as opacity or alpha value) of a color is also supported and can give you some nice effects. Numeric Value: A numeric value can either be entered manually by clicking in the text field or by scrubbing the wheel on the right. If you click on the far ends of the wheel you can change the value in single steps. The minimum and maximum values of that input are displayed on top of the wheel.
Text Value: This input field takes a single line of text.
Multiline Text Value: In this input field you can put multiple lines of text.
File: Some layers can use a file for data input. This file usually is an XML structured file. Please note that the file gets copied into the document bundle! Any changes you make on the file won't be reflected within BoinxTV until you select it again.
